The way things go

Woo hoo, starting a new blog! So, I just posted new work on Wattpad. This is gonna be great for me to figure things out and turn things into a well honed machine.

I’ve been writing creatively since I was 10 but this is the first big launch of my creative works en mass. Things like Wattpad, patreon and Goodreads didn’t exist back in the ’90s and early ’00s so if you wanted to share your works with the world, you pretty much had to go through a big name publisher. And there are a lot that still do.

I think part of what delayed me, besides digital stage fright, is I didn’t really know how to go about it. I worked a lot with music so I eventually developed a strong knowledge of how that industry worked on the artist and business side…and none for literary industry – despite being a writer. It really didn’t strike me my dearth of information for literary publishing from the writer’s perspective in comparison to music publishing until I started looking about.

It’s pretty good that these things are about, so I just have to line things up as thus and learn as I go.
