Out Now! Yemoja Tears: An Anthology about Water, Bodies and Bodies of Water

Yemoja Tears is finally out!

I talked about the anthology briefly in a couple past posts. My short story “Stalwart” is in the anthology, which is basically a sci-fi roman a clef derived from me listening to Mos Def’s song “New World Water”

And when my city, Baltimore, bungled a water crisis event, which the city is very good at – for very messed up reasons.

I am super happy the anthology is finally out. I can now throw a copy at City Hall.

The anthology was created to bring attention to the global water crisis. Due to the growing and ignored dangers of global warming, there are major issues that affect water such as water scarcity, drought, flooding, forest fires and threatened environments. The planet is warming up despite the fact it is supposed to be in a cooling period – and that’s a problem.

The anthology was edited by Oghenechovwe Donald Ekpeki, Alexis Brooks de Vita and Ichor Joshua. The proceeds will go to Water Aid & Water For People.

The anthology is available in ebook and print. You can also buy directly here.
